This season of my life calls for me to focus on those within my inner circle. I often reflect on the saying, “It’s a small world.” Residing in Atlanta can feel that way, but to be honest, it just depends on whom you choose to pay attention to. When you put your focus on red cars, all you’ll see is red cars. I’m becoming more intentional about whom I grant access to my life. This means not going to spaces or being around individuals who don’t promote or encourage peace in my life. It means silencing, muting, or unfollowing those who I sense don’t align with me at the core level. In the age of social media, it’s fairly easy for people to believe that they can have access to your life with a mere follow. On the contrary, they only have access to what you choose to share with them. On that note, please be careful with what you decide to share on socials. Not everyone who is watching is rooting for you. Some people stick around to witness your successes and failures just to be on the sidelines wishing ill. Others may even create false ideas of who they think you are based on misperceptions. All in all, remember that you are protected by God. No weapon formed against you will ever prosper. This doesn’t mean they won’t form or aim. They just won’t prosper!
